- A Unique
Tour Next September
- For 2010, we're changing
our tour format a bit. Both our June and October tours will be
half-week ventures, with an emphasis on touring and visiting
key points of interest along the way. Each tour will also have
a unique title and theme, so no more MotorIoway 500 and
1000. Tour pricing changes a bit too, a flat fee with no discounts
other than a $50 discount if you register for both tours at the
same time.
- Tour Price is $235 including:
Driver & passenger t-shirts, Opening Reception snacks, lunch
at the Iowa Arboretum, Salisbury Banquet at Willis Auto Campus,
admission to Salisbury House and the Classic Auto Show, Route
Guide, Vehicle identification and sweep services. Note: We are
keeping fees as low as possible, so no longer will grant a discount
based on prior tour participation.
A $50 discount will be applied to vehicles registering for
both tours at the same time.
- Wednesday OCTOBER 6
Gathering day at Honey Creek State Park Resort.
- Thursday OCTOBER 7
Loop Tour 1 South
into Missouri with Lunch at Brookfield, near General Pershing's
birthplace. Then back to Honey Creek for a unique evening event.
- Friday OCTOBER 8
Loop Tour 2 Southeast into Missouri with Lunch at Kirksville
and back to Centerville.
- Saturday OCTOBER 9
Loop Tour 3 East through Van Buren County
with Lunch at Bentonsport, a visit to Iowa's only Civil War battle
site at Croton and the American Gothic House in Eldon and concluding
ShineTime in Centerville
